“Wow” your holiday crowd this year with a delicious recipe for Chocolate Pistachio Cannoli’s – a true Italian treat. You’ll need; 1/4 cup chopped semisweet chocolate, 1/4 cup finely chopped pistachios, 12 mini cannoli shells, 1 cup fresh ricotta, 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar, 1 teaspoon grated tangerine or orange zest , 1 tablespoon fresh tangerine or orange juice, a pinch of ground cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream.

Now that you know what you’ll need for this delicious recipe – you will need to heat the chocolate in the microwave for about 2 minutes. However - remember to keep stirring the chocolate every 30 seconds until it has melted. After this process is finished make sure you cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Place the pistachios in a separate bowl and dip both ends of the cannoli shell into the chocolate and then into the pistachios. Place them onto a baking sheet and refrigerate. Beat the ricotta, sugar, tangerine zest /juice and cinnamon until fluffy for about 10-13 minutes. Add the heavy cream and continue to beat until creamy. Cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

After the time has passed – place the ricotta filling into a pastry bag and begin piping into the prepared shells from both ends until even. Dust the shells with confectioners’ sugar before serving and voila. Dessert has been served. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
